Speer Blvd and I-25 Bridge Rehabilitation

From June 2015 through November 2015, The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and Hamon Infrastructure will begin a $3 million bridge repair project on the two Speer Boulevard bridges and 23rd Avenue bridge over I-25. This project expands bridge lifespan and provides better clearance under the arch bridge girders on southbound I-25.

Bridge rehabilitation includes joint elimination, waterproofing, frame leg encapsulation, door replacements, epoxy injections, minor widening of southbound I-25 with milling, resurfacing, restriping of these lanes, vertical clearance signage and striping on the girders.

Traffic impacts include mainly nighttime work on I-25, Speer Boulevard and 23rd Avenue, with occasional weekend lane closures on Speer Boulevard and 23rd Avenue. There will be a possible full closure of southbound I-25, the 23rd Avenue bridge and westbound Speer Boulevard for critical work.

This construction project will be completed in late 2015.
